Christians are drenched in the world.
The little changes in your home are what will make the biggest changes.
Frosty stealing chicken feed…
My writing and social media page started on the pursuit of embracing timeless skills and the importance of homemaking. While I still hold to that, I see a much bigger picture than I previously had.
I see how the last 100 or so years there has been a large scheme to strip humanity of its sovereignty. It wasn’t just removing women from the home, or normalizing it, it was removing everyone from the home and normalizing what we live in now.
The complete dependence on technology and conveniences. We traded every bit of our sovereignty for convenience.
I told Preston, my husband, that I wanted to get rid of my smartphone and go back to a flip phone, just basic calling.
He didn't say much, but the next night at dinner, he said I think we should go this weekend to get basic phones. I was shocked and also excited that he wanted to join me..
But then he said, But what will you do without GPS? It hit me like a ton of bricks. I do rely on GPS.
I quickly responded, I guess we'll have to go back to printing out directions before leaving the house!
We both chuckled, and he told me sternly You need to learn to use an atlas.
To my surprise, I realized that I was lacking more critical skills, one that I had overlooked.
I've been sharing about the dangers of AI and how we are running warp speed to it, but I see the realities that many of us have already given up our sovereignty, willingly.
Myself included. But I'm determined to change that. I refuse to lie down and throw my hands up. I continuously see Christians say we are told not to worry about tomorrow! To not be caught up and even chatting, Jesus is coming back soon, while those all come from scripture, the reality is we don't know when Jesus is coming back, and we are told not to be of this world.
I'm sorry to tell American Christians, but you are drenched in the world. From our smartphones, odd allegiance to America, and the prosperity gospel.
We can be smart and prepared without fearing tomorrow. I have no fear of the growing AI, because my God is with me. He will direct my path. But I feel the urgency to love my neighbor by telling them not to blindly follow because their preferred politician is in power.
I've realized that the two-party political scheme is idol worship. I know many will disagree, but I look at America and see the resemblance to Rome. Does anyone know why Christians were persecuted? Because they refused to sacrifice or even pay tribute to Roman Gods, they refused to participate in the Roman system.
Have you seen what happens when you call the Trump admin? People lose it.
Recent comments from a reel I shared about MAGA falling for propaganda and ignoring the AI threats…Ignorance is bliss.
But Americans willfully do it because it is our patriotic duty? I'm thankful to be an American, but the current system was not built on God; it was built upon Godlessness.
It is hard to wrap our minds around this. We so desperately want someone in the flesh to help us, to save us. But if you truly believe in Christ, you know He alone does that.
And what else did He leave us? The Holy Spirit. We have the guidance and power to do His work on this earth. We can pray for our leaders, but we don't have to put our blind trust. We don't have to believe that voting is the only way change comes. If it did, then why are we only allowed to vote for Republicans or Democrats?
When I expressed that I thought about voting for RFK Jr, many told me that my vote wouldn't count because it's a two-party system. Does no one realize the issue? That should tell you that the parties are picked.
Christians are led by culture wars, told to vote on the worthy opponent, but culture wars are not our battle. It is good against evil. Voting is the easy way out. Christians can vote, go to church on Sunday, then out for Mexican, and live luxurious, easy lives without having to actually show the world what living for Christ truly looks like.
It's socially engineered to get the desired outcome. That's why MAGA is going along with Palantir, AI growth, because it's coming from the “right” side, or no one is actually questioning it.
Charlie Kirk continues to normalize the rise of Technocracy over on X.
My children deserve more. I don't homeschool, and I don't live in the poorest town over 30 minutes away from everything. For fun, I do it because I believe in what God intended, not being of this world.
When I think about the protests happening, I chuckle in some ways, because number one, it's a distraction from the bigger picture, and number tw,o it will not actually make a difference.
Sure, it may bring awareness to things, but true change starts in our homes.
It's the daily decisions we make every day. How much do you buy from Walmart? How many subscriptions do you have? How dependent are you on this soul sucking system?
Almost all of my fellow Americans are utterly dependent. Myself included.
But if we all cut the strings, even for a week, it would bring it all crashing down.
It would crumble. If we no longer fell for the lie that we need all of this, and showed the powers that be our God given rights, there would be no one to control or subdue.
No violence necessary. But the system has brainwashed us all into believing we have to stay in.
Currently, my only hang-up is property tax. Preston and I are constantly talking about selling everything, buying a little more land, and roughing it, but even then, if everything is paid for, we still would have to pay property taxes.
But, if that was all the system was getting from us? It would still make an immense difference.
I've consistently said the little choices ripple out to big changes; it's our time to shine.
Talk soon,
Shelby
